Mayday! Mayday!

Spring is a deceptive time of the year, especially in the Southeastern United States. The days are generally beautiful and the temperature just right, the sky is blue and the taxes are mercilessly past due. In any case this weather holds a dirty secret. What it doesn’t want you to remember is that the relentless summer is right around the corner, just waiting to scorch and send us fleeing to the pools and the beaches. And don’t you just love to cut the grass and battle the weeds that never die? I enjoy the summer just as much as the next person, but for the most part I hate extreme, humid heat, and the baggage that comes with it!

Recently I rented my own Call of Duty 4 pure server (PC) for those of you who share my passion of computer gaming. CoD4 is an incredible first-person shooter and I encourage anyone remotely interested to try it, on any system. The server’s IP address is 209.246.170.28:28960. Just add it to your “favorites” list in the server browser and then I can start owning you =).

I have also done a number of revisions to the site (primarily in the About Me page as well as a new page, Info). Check them out!

    Nigel,
Nice website–keep it conservative. I hate it when people junk things up with flashing ads and noisy attention grabbers. You might consider adding a section about things you are doing or books you are reading, etc. So, for example, if you start a project on a new gaming system, folks can follow along with your successes and frustrations. Hard to believe there are only two weeks of classes left, then term ends, then we are moving. Are you going to make it up here before we leave?

    Cheers,
    Jason

Thanks for the compliments and comments Jason. The most I’ll probably ever do with advertising is using Google ads, but that would be down the road. I’ll look into other sections for writing, but for the most part a lot of it will be in the primary blog itself. Yes hopefully I will get up to West Point before you head out!

I was very interested to learn the orgins of your screen name “Lightloch”. I’ve always wondered how you came up with it and what it meant. I just always chalked it up to a “nigelism”. Very cool.

Thanks Anna, yeah it’s just kind of cool and it carries a tad bit of meaning in itself. I would take the credit myself as a “Nigelism,” but in this case MSN Game Zone gets the credit! =)
