I made the mistake of buying that huge leather sofa before our first apartment move…man…there was reason that thing was so cheap, no one else was dumb enough to buy it! That sofa has been up and down the stairs of 3 different apartments and in and out of three different houses. We somehow once managed to put it into an apartment complex elevator!! Sigh…my best advice to anyone moving is don’t buy any BIG furniture, not at least until you are in the home you plan on dying in!
