My most recent road trip is done, so now I want to share some basic thoughts on some excellent television shows that I have been watching. If you have some time, give them a good look!
Firefly – I always enjoy a good sci-fi story, especially the space-based ones. This series has only a season’s worth of episodes, but they are a good watch. The basic storyline involves a captain and his renegade crew who cautiously travel the fringes of known space searching for whatever freelance work comes their way. Lots of action, memorable characters, and witty dialogue will keep you interested, especially the mix of a western theme in outer space!
This series also has an entertaining, partially stand-alone movie called Serenity that you won’t want to miss either. If you are short on time or patience just check out the movie, though.
Prison Break – Wow. Not many shows are as edge-of-the-seat as this one. Excellent writing and great action. A man’s brother is put on death row for a crime he supposedly did not commit. His brother, a genius structural engineer who helped retrofit the prison in which his brother is incarcerated, purposely commits a crime to get near his brother and help him escape.
In the process however they face numerous twists and turns with suspense and action around every corner.
